British Throne Stability in Order of Succession Law

8 September 2022, marked a transition in the United Kingdom (UK), with the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II after a 70 year of her reign. With no interregnum transition, King Charles III was immediately proclaimed monarch in a sign of the stability of British monarchy . in addition to monarchs place in a parliamentary constitutional system appropriately and sacredly, inherit by a certain order of succession laws. These have helped the British royal family retain status through the years until today. This article will explain the general concept of royal succession, focusing on its historical background and political contexts leading to the Acts that relate with British royal succession law. A summary of essential legal principles on succession to the British throne will be analyzed, including an international comparative look at the order of succession in other current monarchies and former monarchies in Europe and some monarchies in Asia, including Thailand.
