Publication ethics

Ethics of the author

  1. The author must certify that the manuscript solely belongs to the author or the author and co-author as identified. 
  2. The author must certify that the manuscript has never published.
  3. The author must certify that the author will neither withdraw the manuscripts from the publishing consideration nor publish in any other journals within 90 days after Thammasat Law Journal received the manuscript.  
  4. In any circumstances or times, if the manuscript is in between the evaluation process or approved by the readers to be published and the author wishes to withdraw the manuscript, the author agrees to compensate for damages to Thammasat Law Journal equally as the honorarium fee given to the evaluators. Thammasat Law Journal will forward the evaluation result to the author once received.
  5. The author must be responsible for the accuracy of the manuscript.

Ethics of the Editor

  1. The editor has the duty to evaluate the quality of the manuscripts for publishing.
  2. The editor shall not disclose the author’s or the evaluator’s information to unrelated persons during the evaluation period.
  3. The editor shall select the manuscripts for publication after the evaluation process. 
  4. The editor shall not have a conflict of interests with the author. 

Ethics of the Reader

  1. The reader has the duty to evaluate the quality of the manuscripts for publication 
  2. The reader shall not disclose the author’s or the evaluator’s information to unrelated people during the evaluation period.
  3. The reader shall evaluate the manuscripts based on his/her expertise with cautiousness and capability for publication after the evaluation process. 
  4. The reader shall not have a conflict of interests with the author.
