The Development of Creative Activities Packages based on Active Learning Concept to Enhance Elderly’s Quality of Life

Abstract

This Article aimed were to: (1) develop creative activities packages based on active learning concept to enhance elderly’s quality of life, (2) study elderly’s quality of life before and after used the developed activities Packages, and (3) study satisfaction of elderly after used the developed activities Packages. The sample consisted of 30 elderly form Laem Fa Pha sub district Samut Prakan Province by sample random sampling (Lottery method). The tools used in the research consisted of 1) the interview form, 2)document analysis form, 3) appropriation evaluate form, 4)developed activities Packages and activities Packages manual, 5)elderly’s quality of life valuate form, 6)satisfaction interview form and 7)focus group Items. The statistics employed for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and content analysis. The results were as follows;
1. the developed creative activities Packages based on active learning concept to enhance elderly’s quality of life was composed of 6 components: 1) principle 2) objective 3) creative activities packages was composed 3 sub-activities: (1) Healthy body activities (2) Healthy food activities and (3) Healthy spirit activities 4) learning steps of activities packages 5) measurement and evaluation 6)contributing factors and using manual of creative activities packages had the appropriation score at highest level (M = 4.88, S.D. = .09).
2. the elderly’s quality of life after higher than before using the developed creative activities Packages were statistical significance at the level of .05.
3. elderly had satisfaction to the developed creative activities packages about appropriation, be helpful, and suitable for apply to real life that effect to progressive of elderly’s quality of life.
