The Development of a Guidance Activity Package to Support Analytical Thinking Ability of Mathayomsuksa 1 Students

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: (1) develop a guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability, (2) compare the analytical thinking ability both before and after using the guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability, and (3) study the students’ attitudes towards the guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability. The sample used in this research was a group of 30 Mathayomsuksa 1/3 students from one classroom in the academic year 2020, Benchamarachuthit School, Chanthaburi Province The Sample was selected using gaining from simple random sampling. The research instruments included: (1) guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability, (2) analytical thinking ability tests for both before and after using the guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability, and (3) an evaluation of students’ attitudes towards the guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability. The results found that:
- The guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability had higher efficiency of E1/E2 than the appointed 80/80 criteria; which meant the students’ percentage of mean scores gaining from practicing the activity had overall average E1/E2 of 81.67/82.42.
2. The score of after using the package was higher than before using the guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability with statistical significance at the .05 level.
3. The students’ attitudes towards the guidance activity package to support analytical thinking ability was appropriate at the highest level (= 4.57).
