The relationship between the Sosamsai playing with Thai Vocalization.

Abstract

                     The research article titled “The Relationship between the Sosamsai Playing with Thai Vocalization.” is a part of the doctoral  thesis  objectives in  the Doctor of Philosophy Program. Department of Music, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts KhonKaen University. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between the Sosamsai playing with Thai Vocalization that appears in Thai traditional music. The qualitative research methodology was used in this research with a descriptive research presentation, documentary study, interview with  key informants, and data analysis and  synthesis based on research objectives.

                      The research results revealed 5 dimensions of the relationship between Sosamsai playing and Thai vocalization including rhythm Luk thok, sound field, melody direction, and imitation. The Khlorong  is a form of music performed along with the chorus and the way of singing.
