The Development of Thai Words Reading and Writing Skills According to Teaching Results of Inquiry Cycle 5Es Model for Thai Major Students, Faculty of Education

Abstract

           The objectives of this research were to study behaviors of Thai words reading and writing by using  the Inquiry Cycle 5Es Model for Thai Major junior students, Faculty of Education, and investigate achievement of Thai words reading and writing before and after teaching with the Inquiry Cycle 5Es model for Thai Major junior students, Faculty of Education. The population of this research was a group of 61 Thai major junior students, Faculty of Education. The research instruments used were the pre-test and post-test on reading and writing abilities as well as exercises and quizzes on Thai words reading and writing skills.

            The result of reading behavior showed that 60 students passed the criteria of 98.36%, which was higher than a required criterion of 70%. The result of writing behavior indicated that 61 students passed the criteria of 100%, which was higher than the required criterion of 70%. In term of learning achievement in Thai words reading and writing, there were 59 students passed the criteria of 96.72%, which was higher than the required criterion.
