Community and Social Development Journal : CSDJ

Formerly khows as Rajabhat Chiang Mai Research Journal is a Journal to support academic work for society   
    Aim and scope  : to publish english articles that are beneficial to society or locality in Social Sciences  with 3 sub-subject. 1) Social  Development 2) Education 3) Business, Management and Accounting , which can be used to solve problems or develop society, communities and local areas and create benefits for communities and local areas.

Peer Review Process : 
      All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind review by three independent reviewers , who are experts in the field.. The full detials of the peer review process can be found at Peer review process (click).

Publication Frequency: Issued 3 editions per year:
    Issued 1 : January - April
    Issued 2 : May - August
    Issued 3 : September - December

Types of Articles :
   Research Articles: Present a brief report on a specific research result or a major problem. Social Sciences, Business, Management and Accounting Each article must clearly present the research question, detailed methodology, study content, results, discussion,  conclusion and suggestions, new knowledge and the effects on society and communities.

Publication fees :
     Articles submitted have a cost of assessing and screening articles in the amount of 106 USD or 3,500 THB. Collect the fee 1 time after the article has been preliminarily reviewed by the journal's editorial team before sending it to the expert for reviewing the article.  In case of cancellation or assessment is not passed from reviewer, the fee will not be refunded. According to the announcement of the Research and Development Institute Fund of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. Revenue Sources:
     Institute of Research and Development, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University  fully supports the journal production process, ensuring high publication standards through rigorous peer-review. However, this funding does not influence the editorial board's decisions on reviewing or publishing articles.

Advertising:
     The journal does not accept funding through advertisements as part of its policy. Information related to academic conferences, the journal, or research studies may be shared on the journal's official website if appropriate. However, publishing such content does not compromise the journal's ethical standards.

Direct Marketing :
     The journal refrains from direct marketing activities as part of its policy. Calls for papers, promotion of the journal, and related activities are announced through the journal's official website, social media platforms, or those of related organizations, adhering to ethical practices and respecting individual rights.

AI-generated Content Policy :
    Manuscripts prepared with use of generative AI in all steps must be done with caution. The AI generated contents must undergo thorough review and careful editing and are recommended to explicitly disclose in the manuscripts during the peer review process, and will appear in the published version. Full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and originality of the AI generated contents belongs entirely to all authors.

  • Metadata Storage: Bibliographic information and related metadata for all articles are stored in the ThaiJO system database
  • Data Backup: NECTEC implements an automatic backup system with data stored in multiple locations to prevent data loss
  • Data Security: The system has appropriate security measures to maintain data integrity

Access to Archived Data:

  • Current Access: Users can access all articles through the journal website and ThaiJO system
  • Future Access: In the event that the main system becomes unavailable, users will be able to access data through backup channels prepared by Chulalongkorn University
  • Emergency Access: In cases where all online systems are unavailable, users can still access data through print media stored in various libraries

Plagiarism Policy:
Our journal utilizes the ThaiJO system for managing academic articles, which is integrated with the CopyCatch plagiarism detection software (https://www.copycatch.in.th/) to screen all submitted manuscripts.

  • All articles submitted through the ThaiJO system will be automatically checked by the CopyCatch program
  • The system will check for similarity against academic literature databases within Thailand
  • Checked articles will receive a report showing the percentage of similarity with other documents
  • The editorial board will review these reports to assess the nature and extent of any similarity

 

Journal History: 
Community and Social Development Journal  : History of journal for research to community. Aim and scope to publish english articles that are beneficial to society or localities in social sciences. Launched in 1999 with the support of  Institute of Research and Development, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, the inaugural volume focused on research articles, in subject area social sciences, business, management and accounting.
