The Method Teaching by a Project to Teach for Japanese Tourism 2
The purpose of this research were to 1) apply and improve the project work method for Japanese Toursim 2 course to meet the expected criteria 2) compare the students' achievement score taught by the conventional method and the project work method 3) find out the students' opinion towards the project work method. The samples were third-year Tourism Industry students. They were divided into 2 groups : the experimental and the controlled, 34 students each. The sampling technique was volunteer students. Course outline, Pretest and Posttest, and questionaire were used to collect the data. Then, the data were analyzed by using T-test and percentage.
The results were as followed: the score of achievement test of both groups was not different significantly at 0.05. Moreover, the attitude of the students was found to be positive. They said that the project work not only helps promote their hands-on experience but should also be incorporated in the curriculumn since the first year of study. And it can be applied to other courses to the most.
