The Needs of Entrepreneurs to Characteristics of Thai language graduates’ in Pailin Province Cambodia

Abstract

The present research had purpose to investigate the characteristics of the bachelors of Thai language curriculum needed by the business corporations or the entrepreneurs in Pailin Province of Cambodia. The population for this research was the Cambodian people and the business corporations in the area of education service of University of Battambang in Battambang Province of Cambodia and the purposive random sampling was used. In collecting data 120 copies of questionnaires and interviewing forms were provided based on Krejie and Morgan table and used, 20 for the business corporations and 100 for the people. The collected data were analyzed, calculated for frequency, standard deviation, and average respectively.   

The result found was that the business corporations in Pailin Province of Cambodia needed the Thai language bachelors endowed with the good qualification of Thai language usage for communication with the average of 4.15. The speaking skill of Thai language for the personnel is the most needed with the average of 4.90. The need of the particular bachelors of Thai language curriculum was found at the medium level with the average of 2.95, while the need of encouragement in increasing the Thai language skill of the personnel was found at high level with the average of 4.45.   

The need to develop the skill of Thai language usage for communication of the people in Pailin Province of Cambodia was found at the highest level with the average of 4.80, while the speaking skill is most needed for development with the average of 4.90. It was also found that the short additional course of Thai language is most needed with the average of 4.95. The last finding was that the purpose of Thai language study for earning the living in Thailand rather than in Cambodia was found at the highest level with the average of 4.85
