งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้มุ่งศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมาของนักวรรณกรรมกลุ่มดีวาน และบทกวีอาหรับยุคใหม่ วิเคราะห์บทบาทและอิทธิพลของนักวรรณกรรมกลุ่มดีวานที่มีต่อบทกวีอาหรับยุคใหม่ของประเทศอียิปต์ จากการศึกษาเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยการรวบรวมข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับความเป็นมาของบทกวีอาหรับยุคใหม่ในประเทศอียิปต์ และบทบาทของนักวรรณกรรมกลุ่มดีวานที่ได้ออกมาเคลื่อนไหวในช่วงที่มีการรวมตัวกันตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1909-1919 พบว่า นักวรรณกรรมกลุ่มดีวานนั้นเป็นกลุ่มนักวรรณกรรมกลุ่มแรกที่ออกมาประกาศตัวอย่างชัดเจนในการที่จะปฏิรูปบทกวีอาหรับยุคใหม่ โดยการปรับเนื้อหาของบทกวีในด้านวรรณศิลป์ให้มีความหมายที่ลึกซึ้ง สามารถถ่ายทอดอารมณ์ความรู้สึกของผู้ประพันธ์สู่ผู้อ่านได้อย่างละเมียดละไม ร่วมกับการใช้โวหารและจินตนาการทางกวีที่เน้นด้านอารมณ์ความรู้สึก มากกว่าการเลือกใช้ภาษาที่สละสลวยดังเช่น         ที่ปรากฏในบทกวียุคก่อน ๆ มีการปรับด้านรูปแบบฉันทลักษณ์ให้มีความหลากหลาย เพิ่มเติมสัมผัสต่าง ๆ ให้มีความโดดเด่นและสอดแทรกความคิดริเริ่มสร้างสรรค์ในส่วนของประดิษฐการ ต่าง ๆ เพื่อมุ่งเน้นให้บทกวีนั้นถ่ายทอดเรื่องราว อารมณ์ความรู้สึกของผู้ประพันธ์สู่ผู้อ่านได้อย่างมีอรรถรส และบทบาทของนักวรรณกรรมกลุ่มดีวานก็ได้ส่งอิทธิพลต่อนักวรรณกรรมยุคใหม่ทั้งหลายในการที่จะปรับปรุงเปลี่ยนแปลงและพัฒนาบทกวีอาหรับยุคใหม่ให้ทัดเทียมกับสากล

Abstract

The present study aims at tracing the historical background of the emergence of the Jamāah Dīwān, or literally called Dīwān Group—those poets who composed a genre of Arabic poetry called Dīwān—and the modern Arabic literature, and analyzing their roles and influence on the modern Arabic poetry in Egypt. The study was conducted by collecting the related information on the background of modern Arabic literature in Egypt and the roles of Dīwān Group during 1909-1919. It was found out that Dīwān Group were the first of those groups of poets who declared their commitment in reforming modern Arabic poetry. Their reformative effort included improving profundity of the poems, making them convey the composers’ emotional meaning to the readers’ hearts in a more subtle fashion. It also preferred the romantic tone of emotional expressions and imagination over the aesthetic use of language just as those that were preferred in the preceding era. Besides, the diversity of rhythm and rhyme scheme as well as a new genre of creativity were added to their initiatives so as to enhance the readers’ appreciation of the meaning conveyed in their poems. In a nutshell, it can be said that the Dīwān Group exerted their immense influence on the succeeding poets who adopted their commitment in developing the modern Arabic poetry to the universal standards.
