การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะศึกษาค้นคว้าเรื่องราวและเนื้อหาสาระของนิทานซึ่งมีอิทธิพลต่อผู้ฟังและผู้อ่าน ผู้วิจัยได้แสดงให้เห็นความสำคัญของนิทานในสังคม ในฐานะที่เป็น  รูปแบบอย่างหนึ่งของเรื่องเล่า ซึ่งแพร่กระจายอยู่ในกลุ่มชนจำนวนมาก ความสำคัญเรื่องการใช้ชีวิตของผู้ฟัง ผู้อ่านและเรื่องจิตวิเคราะห์เป็นสิ่งที่ผู้วิจัยสนใจและมุ่งเข้าไปสู่การค้นหาความหมายในระดับลึก ผู้ที่เคยฟังหรืออ่านนิทานซึ่งเคยได้รับรู้เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับความรุนแรงในนิทาน จะได้มองเห็นนิทานที่เล่ากันอยู่ทั่วโลกในลักษณะที่ถูกเปิดเผยให้เห็นรูปแบบที่ยังไม่มีการขัดเกลา ส่วนที่เป็นด้านมืดของนิทานที่คัดเลือกมาศึกษา แสดงออกโดยตัวละครในเรื่อง ได้แก่ การฆ่า การทำให้พิการ การกินเนื้อมนุษย์ การฆ่าทารก และการสมสู่ร่วมสายโลหิต เป็นเนื้อหาสาระที่ดึงดูดใจให้ศึกษาค้นคว้าเป็นอย่างยิ่ง  การศึกษาโครงเรื่องนิทานทำให้ทราบว่านิทานได้ตีความหมายของสภาพความเป็นจริงของจิตใจของมนุษย์ออกมาในรูปของจินตภาพ ตัวละคร และเหตุการณ์                    ที่จริงจังและมองเห็นได้ชัดเจน ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้อธิบายรายละเอียดของความเป็นจริงนี้อย่างชัดเจน แจ่มแจ้ง จากเนื้อหาสาระของนิทานที่ได้คัดเลือกมาศึกษา การสร้างทฤษฎีจิตวิเคราะห์ขึ้นมา               คือ  การช่วยให้มนุษย์ยอมรับในปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในการดำเนินชีวิตโดยไม่ยอมพ่ายแพ้ สิ่งที่นิทาน 

สื่อสารให้เด็กก็คือไม่มีใครจะหลีกเลี่ยงการเผชิญอุปสรรคในชีวิตได้ แต่ถ้าหากเราไม่ยอมแพ้           และหันหน้าเข้าเผชิญกับอุปสรรคนั้น เราจะสามารถเอาชนะและควบคุมอุปสรรคเหล่านั้นได้

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research project is to investigate the tales account and their influence on the audience, as a result of reading or listening to these stories. The researchers endeavour to show the importance of the tales in society as the narrative forms still used by the great majority in human beings. The importance of the tales in the audience’s lives and psychoanalysis permit the researchers access to the stories’ deeper meaning. Those who remember that the violence in the tales will be surprised by the revelations about the tales in all parts of the world in their unexpurgated form. The darker side of selected tales figures: murder, mutilation, cannibalism, infanticide, and incest are the subject matter for this intriguing study of the tales. The study of plots, is that the tale translate psychic realities into concrete images, characters, and events. The researchers spell out these realities as they are manifest in the tales. Psychoanalysis is created to enable man to accept the problematic nature of life without being defeated by it. The message that the tales get across to the child is that a struggle against severe difficulties in life is unavoidable. But if one does not give up, one should master all obstacle and at the end emerge victorious.
