The objective of this study is to analyze the polysemy of Motion verb идти /idti/ - ходить /xodit/ ‘walk’ in Russian language. We can find the meaning extensions considered on the prototypical meaning as defined by Cognitive Linguistic theory and also the relationship of various meanings of polysemy. Data used in this study came from Russian language corpus. I collected the examples when the word идти /idti/ - ходить /xodit/ occur in the sentences. The result shows that polysemy of Motion verb идти /idti/ - ходить /xodit/ ‘walk’ is the basis of extended meanings via Metaphorical extensions as defined by the Conceptual Metaphor; that is the meaning extended from the movement of animate to non-animate agents, from the movement of concrete to abstract trajectors and we can trace the relationship between the prototypical meaning and the extended meaning even through the meaning is Metaphor.
