Abstract
In the Thai language, English lexical borrowings are used. However, they are used independently of the English grammatical rules of morphological subtypes (i.e., inflection, word function and word formation). As such, their use is considered grammatically incorrect according to the English grammatical rules. On the contrary, some Thai words are used according to the English grammatical rules, although they are not originated from the English lexical borrowings. From what explained above, it is evident the Thai language contains words with various usage patterns. However, some words have been incorrectly used according to either the grammatical rules of the English or Thai language.
