Abstract
ในประเทศไทย ผู้คนมีความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับกุมารทองอย่างแพร่หลาย เนื่องจากคนไทยมีความเชื่อในเรื่องของภูตผีและส่วนใหญ่นับถือศาสนาพุทธ รวมทั้งอิทธิพลของสื่อมวลชนที่นำเสนอเรื่องนี้อย่างต่อเนื่อง ยิ่งทำให้ความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับกุมารทองแพร่หลายทั้งในประเทศและต่างแดน สำหรับประเทศจีนเป็นอีกหนึ่งในนั้นที่รับรู้เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับกุมารทอง เนื่องจากคนจีนมีความเชื่อ ในเวทมนตร์และภูตผีเช่นเดียวกัน รวมทั้งความสัมพันธ์และการติดต่อกันอย่างแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างไทยและจีน ยิ่งทำให้ความเชื่อในเรื่องนี้แพร่หลายในจีนได้ง่ายขึ้น อย่างไรก็ตาม พื้นฐาน ทางวัฒนธรรมที่แตกต่างกันทำให้ความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับกุมารทองในสังคมไทยและจีนแตกต่างกันและมีอัตลักษณ์ของตนเอง
AbstractKumanthong belief is popular in Thailand, due to Thai belief in ghost and Buddhism and the role of mass media. China has become a key point in the spread of such belief outside Thailand, for its witchcraft culture and increasing intercourse with Thailand, and also shows its uniqueness as to the different cultural background.
