Abstract
กุมารทอง ซึ่งเป็นความเชื่อทางไสยศาสตร์ เกี่ยวกับจิตวิญญาณของคนไทยมาตั้งแต่สมัยโบราณที่ได้ถ่ายทอดผ่านวรรณกรรมไทย โดยเฉพาะ ในวรรณคดีเรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผน อย่างไรก็ตาม ความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับกุมารทองก็ยังคงอยู่กับสังคมไทยในปัจจุบันดังปรากฏให้เห็นตามสื่อภาพยนตร์ บทละครโทรทัศน์ รายการเกี่ยวกับโหราศาสตร์ นอกจากนี้เรื่องราวของกุมารทองยังได้ถูกนำมาใช้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ เพื่อหาประโยชน์จากผู้คนที่มี ความเชื่อและความศรัทธาในเรื่องนี้
