2012 วิกฤติการณ์ความเชื่อเรื่องโลกถูกทำลาย ที่ทั่วโลกและสังคมไทยให้ความสนใจมากเป็นพิเศษ จนกระทั่งเกิดการถกเถียงระหว่างกลุ่มที่เชื่อและไม่เชื่อในคำทำนายต่าง ๆ ว่าเหตุการณ์โลกถูกทำลายจะเกิดขึ้นจริงหรือไม่ ในฐานะที่ไทยเป็นประเทศที่มีคนไทยนับถือพระพุทธศาสนามากถึงร้อยละ 95 มีหลักพระพุทธศาสนาเป็นรากฐานความคิด คนไทยจึงควรรู้หลักคำสอน และแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับโลกที่เราอาศัยนี้ตามทัศนะของพระพุทธศาสนาที่สำคัญคือ           โลกที่เราอาศัยอยู่นี้เป็นวัตถุที่เกิดจากการรวมตัวของปรมาณู สามารถคงอยู่ได้ระยะหนึ่ง จากนั้นจะเปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามกฎไตรลักษณ์ และจะสลายไปตามธรรมชาติ ดังนั้นมนุษย์จึงควรใช้ชีวิตอยู่บนโลกใบนี้ด้วยความไม่ประมาท

Abstract

         Belief crisis in 2012 doomsday predictions and prophecies draws worldwide attention. In Thailand, this phenomenon also captures widespread attention. It becomes a controversial issue between doomsday believers and non-believers if the predictions of imminent cataclysmic events will occur.

           As Thailand is a Buddhist country with 95 percent of people who are Buddhists, the Buddhist Thais should have a right Buddhist understanding relating to the physical world. According to a Buddhist teaching, the physical world is composed of the tiniest element called Paramanu. It exists temporarily, then changes variably due to the Buddhist law of Three Characteristics. Finally, it disappears in a natural way. Man, therefore, should live carefully.
