Packaging Design and branding for Baan Dong Yen bamboo product

Abstract

This research has aimed to design packaging and trademark for wickerwork group of Ban Don Yen, Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province by researcher has investigated the information from fieldwork related with the history as well as the established of wickerwork group of Ban Don Yen, and conduct to packaging design which they could be able forming and containing the product by themselves as well as the trademark that could communicate to Ban Don Yen, being evaluated from 3 experts in design filed till conduce to the best of packaging and trademark pattern. Furthermore, the packaging sealing techniques that the wickerwork group could handle sealing by themselves namely, a clear adhesive tape sealing technique, a staple sealing technique and a hot sealing technique were examined with 30 samples per each sealing technique, totally 90 samples, the samples were examined the moisture testing by spraying the samples in the tank for 10 minutes, the result showed a hot sealing technique has been the best technique for sealing packaging The satisfaction evaluation of packaging and trademark pattern design from 100 people which were the buyers purchasing the wickerwork and souvenir by distributed the questionnaire at souvenir shops near Ban Chiang Museum, the result found the satisfaction of buyers towards the developed trademark was 4.47 with a high satisfaction level and the satisfaction of buyers towards developed packaging was 4.48 with a high satisfaction level.
