Fabric Pattern Design to Further Creative Products of Local Culture in Phetchabun Province

Abstract

           This research was initiated from the impressions of fabric pattern design. The objective was to design patterns of woven fabrics from the local culture of Phetchabun Province, in order to create products to further enhance work from the city of Phetchabun. It was also to be a model for those interested in the profession, by bringing the city’s woven fabric to create new fabrics together. This was meant to be an inspiration the culture and way of life of the people of Phetchabun Province. Phetchabun Province is a fertile area, surrounded by mountains, with good weather and beautiful nature. This inspires old traditional cultural learning, which is valuable, along with the way of life of the people, who are calm and simple, thus resulting in a unique identity that be drawn into the pattern that indicates it is local. This work achieved its objectives and concepts that conveys the Phetchabun identity and serves as a guideline for those who are interested.
