The Use of Choreography (School Botany) to Develop Creative Thinking in Youth: a Case Study of Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School

This research aimed to study effects of the use of choreography (school
botany) to develop creative thinking in youth. The sample group was selected using
the simple random sampling technique based on classroom criteria. They were from
one classroom comprised of 34 youth studying Mattayom 2/3 in the 2nd semester of
the 2016 academic calendar at Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) School. Choreography
activities were integrated with activities on school botany. The research instruments
were: 1) lesson plan on choreography activities; 2) evaluation form for creative
choreography; and 3) evaluation form for creative choreography (school botany). The
statistical analysis used in this research included frequency, percentage, average,
Standard Deviation, t-test and content analysis.
The findings indicated that:
1. Youth who learned choreography (school botany) prior to and post
experiment demonstrated overall creative thinking differently. The creative thinking
post experiment was higher than prior to the experiment at the statistically significant
level of .01
2. Youth who learned choreography (school botany) demonstrated different
overall creative thinking in relation to the creation of choreography and performance
(school botany) at the statistically significant level of .001
