This research aimed to construct a teacher professional scale and to determining the quality of the scale including providing norm criteria for the scale. The sample was a number of 2,463 undergraduate students in Thailand, who were selected by multistage sampling method. The research tool was a measure of 3 options. The number 30 was a measure of the ability of the teaching profession that constructed from Gourneau’s five attitudes of effective teachers: 1) demonstrating caring and kindness; 2) sharing responsibility; 3) sensitively accepting diversity; 4) fostering individualized instruction; and 5) encouraging creativity
The results of the study showed that the scale reliability was 0.731, and the item- total correlation was between .338 - .626. Concurrent validity study showed that
educational undergraduate students had average scores obtained by the measurement
of the teaching profession scale compared to those who did not learn in education
faculty. Educational undergraduate students in year 5 had the average score obtained
by the measurement of the teaching profession scale as compared to those who study
year 4, a significant higher statistical level. The local norm in T score was shown at
T3.04 – T73.90
