Abstract

Learning efficiency leads to the development of intelligence when appropriately applied in every situation. The objective of this cross-sectional survey research was to study learning efficiency toward studying dimensions and factors related to learning efficiency toward studying dimensions among nursing students. A sample of 260 nursing students from all years was drawn using a simple random method. Data were collected through happiness assessments and questionnaires created by the researcher. The reliability of questionnaires was learning efficiency toward studying dimensions =.956, happiness =.891, and techniques to build happiness =.966. The data analysis was using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.

The study result found that most nursing students in the sampling group (90.0%) were female, aged 20–24 (74.2%). Learning efficiency toward studying dimensions as a whole was an appropriate level (48.5%). For dimensions, they were an appropriate level on two dimensions, namely human relationships (67.3%) and performance guidelines (47.7%), including academic knowledge, which was at a moderate level (50.4%).

Factors positively significant associated (p<.01) with learning efficiency toward studying dimensions were educational level (r=.222), happiness (r=.279), and technique to build happiness (r=.423). Oppositely, genders, age, and earning monthly expenses did not have statistical relation (p>.05).
