Abstract

          The study aimed to study the quality of life of the elderly students, the model for an administration for a school for the elderly and for the developing the quality of life, Chiang Rai Province. The target group was 343 elderly students and administrators, instructors. 11 respondents were interviewed using the data collection method, group discussion, observation and questionnaire by data analysis using content analysis. The statistics for the data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of this study were as follows: the quality of life of the elderly students in Chiang Rai Province was found at a high level ( = 3.95, S.D. = 0.58). For the development of the model, the management process was based on five principles, namely, directors, rules, activities and funds. The focus was on improving the quality of life, physically, mentally, socially and economically. Bringing social capital into the community and participation as driving force achieved important goals that were invaluable to the dignity of the elderly.
