Learning achievement of Khlui Phiang-Aw (Thai Flute) of grade 5 students using the integrated instructional model of Davies' practical skills and Carl Orff's Concept

Abstract

           The objectives of this research were 1) to investigate the learning achievement of Khlui Phiang-Aw (Thai Flute) of grade 5 students using  the integrated instructional model of Davies' practical skills and Carl Orff’s concept 2) to study the skill of playing Khlui Phiang-Aw (Thai Flute) of grade 5 students using  the integrated instructional model of Davies' practical skills and Carl Orff’s concept meet the criteria 80 percent. The sample consisted of 25 grade 5 students in the second semester of the academic year 2021 from one classroom, obtained based on a random sampling method. Instruments consisted of  learning management plans using  the integrated instructional model of Davies' practical skills and Carl Orff’s concept, achievement test and flute skill test. This study used One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The data were analyzed using basic statistics to find the mean, standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested using parameter statistics with Dependent t-test.
           The major findings indicated that 1) learning achievement of Khlui Phiang-Aw (Thai Flute) of grade 5 students using  the integrated instructional model of Davies' practical skills and Carl Orff’s concept had improved, as reflected by higher achievement, 2) the skill of playing Khlui Phiang-Aw (Thai Flute) of grade 5 students using  the integrated instructional model of Davies' practical skills and Carl Orff’s concept Have a grade above 80% of the threshold.
