Søren Aabye Kierkegaard’s Concept of Subjectivity

The purpose of this research is to analyze and find the meaning of "Søren Aabye Kierkegaard’s Concept of Subjectivity" in the philosophical sense by comparing with the modern thinker from both early and later modern philosophy. Since the social activity and the crowd ignored the individual task of finding their own meaning of existence, the subjects become alienated to themselves and to the other, moreover, they feel despair and fear to make their own decision and fear to take the responsibility of themselves. Kierkegaard urged every human being to search for their own meaning of living by using reflection, passion, faith, decision and responsibility of themselves. Nevertheless, since human being is finite, thus the subject unable to reach their own true meaning of life and the true self unless depend themselves on something higher which Kierkegaard calls “God”.
