Analyze Concepts of Impermanence in Dogen

This article is an attempt to analyze concepts of impermanence between Theravada Buddhist and Dogen (Zen Buddhism). Its aim is to make a clear and distinct statement about the interpretations of these two concepts. This article will look into Kavin Schilbrack and Thomas P. Kasulis's interpretations of impermanence, especially Kasulis's attempt to elaborate the concept of impermanence in Dogen's perspective through Phenomenological viewpoint. On the other hand, Schilbrack tried to explain regarded issue by introducing Metaphysical and soteriological aspects. He, then, arguing about how other arguments might be harmful to the concept of impermanence.
