THE EFFECTS OF LEARNING MANAGEMENT BY USING PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING COMBINES WITH MIND MAPPING TECHNIQUES FOR TEACHER PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the effects of learning management by using problem-based learning in combination with mind mapping techniques for teacher professional students. 2) evaluate the teacher professional students’ satisfaction towards learning management by using problem-based learning combines with mind mapping techniques. The sample consisted of 31 teacher professional students who have been studying in the curriculum development course. The sample was selected by purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study were learning management plans of the curriculum development course in the unit of school curriculum development, a form of evaluate the teacher professional students’ satisfaction with learning management by using problem-based learning combines with mind mapping techniques. The data were analyzed using the statistics of the percentage, standard deviation, content analysis, and t-test (t-test one group). The research results showed that: 1) teacher professional students’ learning achievement was higher than the average score of 21 points or 70 percent at .05 level of significance;2) teacher professional students’ satisfaction towards the learning management by using problem-based learning combines with mind mapping techniques was at the highest level. By considering each aspect, the atmosphere in the classroom was an aspect with highest average score, followed by the learning activities. Finally, the benefitof learning was an aspect with the high level of satisfaction.
