Abstract
Abstract
The Thai generation Z youth's addiction to online games has continued to be seen. It affects the young people directly on both the brain and intelligence; on physical health as well as on surrounding people and society. The people concerned with social problems in Thailand are interested in the methods on how to solve this problem in order to decrease or forbid the crazy addiction to online games and transform it to be the appropriate online game playing resulting in various positive effects on the youths. Since parents or guardians are very close to their children and play an important role in determining the child's online game playing behaviour to prevent it to become online game addiction, the control of online game playing behaviours in the family by parents or guardians is very important for supervising children in their care to understand and behave based on rules and regulations to create the balance of their lives. This article has compiled documents and research related to online gaming control by family members, especially parents, and factors affecting inappropriate online game playing behaviours in order to obtain the body of knowledge on how to control online game playing behaviours of generation Z youths in the family enabling the youths to be less risky for online game addiction resulting in creating appropriate and correct online game playing behaviours that are desirable behaviours in the family and Thai society.
