การพัฒนาการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษโดยใช้การเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง

บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิชาการนี้เป็นการนำเสนอแนวคิดในการพัฒนาการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษด้วยวิธีการสอนเพื่อการสื่อสารโดยใช้การเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง ด้วยเหตุที่โลกและสังคมมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างรวดเร็ว ประกอบบทบาทของเทคโนโลยีและการสื่อสารที่เชื่อมโยงทุกภูมิภาคในโลกเข้าด้วยกัน โดยมีภาษาอังกฤษเป็นสื่อกลางการพัฒนาศักยภาพในการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษของคนไทย จึงเป็นสิ่งที่มีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง จากนโยบายในการปฏิรูปการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ที่ปรับจากการสอนโดยเน้นไวยากรณ์ มาเป็นการสื่อสารที่เริ่มจากการฟัง ตามด้วยการพูด การอ่าน และการเขียน ตามลำดับ วิธีการสอนให้ความสำคัญเกี่ยวกับสมรรถนะในการสื่อสาร มุ่งเน้นประสิทธิภาพในการสื่อสารมากกว่าการสอนภาษาเพื่อความรอบรู้เกี่ยวกับโครงสร้างทางภาษา การเรียนการสอนมุ่งเน้นให้ผู้เรียนสามารถสื่อสารได้และจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนเกิดทักษะและคุณลักษณะด้านการเรียนรู้ มีการชี้นำ ตนเอง ตรวจสอบการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง ตามเป้าหมายการเรียนรู้ในศตวรรษที่ 21 ผู้สอนปรับเปลี่ยนบทบาทเป็นผู้สนับสนุนการเรียนรู้ (Facilitator) จัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ที่เน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำคัญ สนับสนุนให้ผู้เรียนสามารถสร้างองค์ความรู้ (Constructivist) ด้วยตนเองจากการเรียนภาษาและการใช้ภาษาผ่านกิจกรรมทางภาษาที่หลากหลาย เกิดการพัฒนาการเรียนรู้ การเรียนรู้ไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นเฉพาะแต่เพียงในห้องเรียน มีวิทยาการใหม่ ๆ เกิดขึ้นตลอดเวลา จำเป็นต้องมีการเรียนรู้ เพื่อนำไปสู่การค้นพบความรู้ใหม่ ๆ อยู่เสมอ เป็นการพัฒนาตนเอง ให้ทันต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงในสังคมปัจจุบัน และยังเป็นวิถีทางที่จะส่งเสริมทำให้ผู้เรียนเป็นผู้ที่มีการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต
