MOTIVATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT FACTORS AFFECTING THE WORKING BEHAVIOR OF EMPLOYEES IN ELECTRICAL PARTS MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY: A CASE STUDY OF NMB-MINEBEA THAI COMPANY LIMITED

Abstract
The purposes of this research were (1) to study the motivation factor, organizational commitment factor and working behavior of employees; (2) to study the motivation and organizational commitment factors affecting working behavior of the employees; and (3) to compare the working behaviors of employees who had different personal background factors. Data were collected from the research sample consisting of 370 electronic component production industry employees at the NMB-Minebea Thai Ltd. Bang Pa-in factory. Data were statistically analyzed using the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one way analysis of variance, Scheffe’s pairwise comparison method, bivariate data relationship testing using Pearson Correlation, and multiple regression analysis with the confidence level of 95%.
Research findings showed that employee opinions concerning overall motivation factor, overall organizational commitment factor, and overall working behavior were all found to be at the high level. The motivation factor and organizational commitment factor affected working behavior of the employees. Therefore, if the motivation factor and organizational commitment factor in each aspect were increased, they would be correlated to the overall increase of working behavior of the employees. Finally, the employees with different educational levels were found to be different in their levels of cooperation with the organization.
