Abstract
This research aims to (1) study the current condition, the desirable condition and the needs for collaborative network management of provincial Anuban schools in the Northeastern Region of Thailand; and (2) present the strategy of collaborative network management of provincial Anuban schools in the Northeastern Region of Thailand. This study employed the mixed-method research methodology. The quantitative data were collected from the research sample consisting of 320 school administrators and teachers in Anuban schools in the Northeastern Region of Thailand, obtained by simple random sampling. The research tool was a questionnaire. Research data were analyzed using a software program. The statistics used in the research were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and PNI Modified index. Qualitative data were collected via interviewing school directors and teacher representatives from 5 extra-large sized provincial Anuban schools in the Northeastern Regions of Thailand. An interview form was used as the research tool. The interview data were synthesized to derive conclusions concerning the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, all of which were examined in a focus group discussion by five experts who then assessed the suitability and feasibility of the proposed strategy. The research findings were as follows:
1. The overall current condition of collaborative network management of provincial Anuban schools in the Northeastern Region of Thailand had the rating mean of 3.47, which was at the high level; while the overall desirable condition of the cooperative network management of provincial Anuban schools in the Northeastern Region of Thailand had the rating mean of 4.62, which was at the highest level. When the needs were analyzed, it was revealed that the aspects with the highest to lowest needs priority indices were as follows: that of mutually promotion, that of exchange interaction, that of mutual benefits, that of participation in the operation, and that of the shared vision.
2. The proposed strategy of collaborative network management of provincial Anuban schools in the Northeastern Region of Thailand consisted of 1 vision, 6 missions, 6 goals, 9 objectives, 11 project activities, and 10 indicators of success.
