คุณลักษณะและค่าใช้จ่ายในการครอบครองแผ่นป้ายทะเบียนรถยนต์นั่งส่วนบุคคลไม่เกิน 7 คน

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณลักษณะแผ่นป้ายทะเบียนและค่าใช้จ่ายที่เจ้าของรถยนต์ยอมจ่าย ในการครอบครองแผ่นป้ายทะเบียนที่สามารถเลือกคุณลักษณะที่ต้องการได้ แผ่นป้ายที่นำเสนอให้เจ้าของรถยนต์ เลือกมี 3 คุณลักษณะ คือ เลขนำหน้า อักษรประจำหมวด และเลขทะเบียนรถ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลผ่านแบบสอบถาม ออนไลน์จากเจ้าของรถยนต์ โดยกระจายแบบสอบถามไปยังกลุ่มเป้าหมายต่าง ๆในช่วงเดือน เมษายน - พฤษภาคม 2565 ได้แบบสอบถามกลับคืนมาจำนวน 430 คน ดำเนินการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนความชอบ เป็นหลัก และการทดสอบ t tests, F tests (ANOVA) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความชอบที่มีต่อคุณลักษณะของ แผ่นป้ายทะเบียน (5 ชุดคุณลักษณะ) ไม่ขึ้นกับเพศ อายุ การศึกษา อาชีพ และรายได้แทบทุกกรณี นอกจากนี้ยัง พบว่า เจ้าของรถยนให้ความสำคัญกับคุณลักษณะเลขทะเบียนรถป็นอันดับแรก รองลงมาคืออักษรประจำหมวด และเลขนำหน้า โดยสะท้อนให้เห็นจากค่าแผ่นป้ายที่เจ้าของรถยนต์ยินดีจ่ายหากสามารถเลือกคุณลักษณะของ แผ่นป้ายทะเบียนได้ กล่าวคือถ้าเลือกได้เพียงตัวอักษรประจำหมวดหรือเลือกได้เพียงเลขนำหน้าเท่านั้น โดยไม่ สามารถเลือกคุณลักษณะอื่น ๆ ได้ พบว่า ค่าแผ่นป้ายที่เจ้าของรถยนต์ยินดีจ่ายมีค่าเฉลี่ยเพียง 816 บาท และ 518 บาท ตามลำดับ แต่ถ้าเลือกเลขทะเบียนรถได้ พบว่า ค่าแผ่นป้ายที่เจ้าของรถยนต์ยินดีจ่ายมีค่าเฉลี่ยเพิ่ม ขึ้นมาก กล่าวคือ ถ้าเลือกเลขนำหน้าและเลขทะเบียนรถ ตัวอักษรประจำหมวดและเลขทะเบียนรถ และเลือกได้ทั้ง 3 คุณลักษณะแล้ว ค่าแผ่นป้ายที่เจ้าของรถยนต์ยินดีจ่ายมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 1,866 บาท 2,383 บาท และ 3,907 บาท ตามลำดับ ข้อคันพบนี้ชี้ให้เห็นแนวทางในการเพิ่มรายได้ให้แก่กรมการขนส่งทางบกเพื่อใช้ในการพัฒนาบริการ ให้แก่ประชาชนให้ดียิ่ง ๆ ขึ้นไป
