Abstract
Green Sustainability Happiness Society : Indicators Development and Application
This study has two objectives: 1) to investigate the society model for human’s well-being based on sustainable development; 2) to develop indicators for measuring happiness society that can be applied in real life. The methodologies of this study include review of literature, in-depth interviews, and participant observations. The study found that the essential components of Green Sustainability Happiness Society base on the concept of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) including : 1) health quality ; 2) human welfare (access to human basic and living quality needs) ; 3) sustainable flow of environmental resources; 4) stable ecosystem exist in the RatchathainiAsoke Community. Within these scopes, 47 indicators were literally considered applicable and used to assess the green and happiness quality of the RatchathaniAsoke Community in Ubonratchathani Province. It was found that the community has all qualities of Green Sustainability Happiness Society. The main drivers include the dedication to sinless life, to honor nature, to be selective of sustainable technology, and to self-reliance principle.
