บทคัดย่อ
"Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism" ส่งผลกระทบและอิทธิพลต่อการกำหนดนโยบายสวัสดิการ การศึกษา และความหมายโดยนัย การจำแนกประเภทของระบอบสวัสดิการสังคม การนำเสนอแนวคิดการทำสวัสดิการสังคมให้เป็นสินค้า การใช้ประเด็นด้านการจ้างแรงงานมาเป็นตัวแปรหนึ่งที่สำคัญสำหรับการวิเคราะห์ภายใต้บริบทของสังคมหลังอุตสาหกรรม ข้อค้นพบ และข้อเสนอแนะ ซึ่งแตกต่างจากนักวิชาการด้านสวัสดิการสังคมคนก่อนๆ ส่งผลให้แนวทางการจัดสวัสดิการสังคมเปลี่ยนแปลงไปเพื่อป้องกันความเสี่ยงต่อการดำรงชีวิตของประชาชน และสร้างความตระหนักในการลดความเหลื่อมล้ำระหว่างชนชั้นทางสังคมที่มีอยู่และผลพลอยได้ทางลบของสวัสดิการสังคม
