STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT OF ORGANIC AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITY ENTERPRISES IN KHOK TAKHIAN SUBDISTRICT KABCHEING DISTRICT SURIN PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to develop the strength of the organic agricultural community enterprises in Khok Takhian Subdistrict, Kap Choeng District, Surin Province. The research used qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. Target groups or key informants are 20 people, using purposive selection, consisting of the organic agricultural community enterprise groups in Khok Takhian Subdistrict, Kap Choeng District, Surin Province. Data were collected through participatory processes, interviews, and focus group discussions. Data were analyzed using content analysis.

The research results found that

The organic agricultural community enterprise group in Kok Takhian Subdistrict has group operations divided into 6 areas: 1) group management, 2) production, 3)marketing, 4) participation, 5) finance, and
6) leadership. There are problems and obstacles regarding unclear management strategies for production, distribution, and accounting. In addition, the production potential is not up to standard and there is a lack of information for planning operations. The development guidelines for strengthening the group are: development with the internal group by developing leaders and members to have knowledge and skills, and development with the external group by creating a network to exchange knowledge in production, marketing, and management to create strategies for developing the group to be strong by taking into account safe and standard products.
