Needs and Guidelines to Develop the Instructional Leadership of the Head of Academic Affairs in Elementary Schools under Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the special needs and the development guidelines of instructional leadership of the head of academic affairs in elementary schools under Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. There are two steps of the research. Step 1; To study the special needs of instructional leadership of the head of academic affairs from 127 teachers under Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 3 with the questionnaire. Data were analyzed by means, standard deviation (S.D.) and prioritization of essential needs (PNI_Modified). Step 2; To study the guidelines to develop the instructional leadership of the head of academic affairs in elementary schools under Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. Interviewing 5 experts was done for data collection. The content analysis was used in this step.

The results of the research revealed that: 1) The special needs of instructional leadership of the head of academic affairs from 127 teachers under Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area

Office 3 was 0.174 in overall.  The vision of leader had the most priority needs index at 0.196. 2) The guidelines of instructional leadership of the head of academic affairs should have a meeting to enable stakeholders in education administration to set goals for educational institutions and should encourage teachers to develop themselves to improve teaching and learning management to be more efficient by focusing on teaching and learning management that focused on learners so that students were motivated to learn and able to develop themselves to their full potential.
