Technological Leadership in Academic Management of School Director, Pichit Primary Educational Service Area 1

Abstract

        This research aims 1) to study the technology leadership in academic management of the school director in Pichit Primary Educational Service Area 1 and 2) study the development guidelines about technology leadership in academic management of the school director in Pichit Primary Educational Service Area 1. There are 2 sections of the research which are 1) to study the technology leadership in academic management of the school director. The instrument was a questionnaire. The research samples were school directors in Pichit Primary Educational Service Area 1, the total of 97 persons. 2) to study the development guidelines about technology leadership in academic management of the school directors, the results of section 1 were used to find out the guidelines. In this step, 5 experts were interviewed.           The results of research were as follows: 1) The technology leadership in academic management of the school director in Pichit Primary Educational Service Area 1 was in a high level. Once considered separately, the legal literacy and technology ethics was in a very high level. Other aspects were in high levels, ranked as follows: supporting personnel in using technology, using technology in administration, technology management, supporting using technology for teaching, technological visions, using technology for educational evaluation. 2) The development guidelines of technology leadership in academic management of the school director in Pichit Primary Educational Service Area 1 showed that that school administrators considered the selection of school committees with technological knowledge together with to define the vision of technology for using in the administration and development of academic work in educational institutions, participated in the training program for self-development in technology and always learned the working style of new technology in order to create the academic management system of the school, studied visits on the use of technology in teaching and learning from model schools and implemented them in educational institutions. A technological infrastructure was set up to require teachers and school personnel to carry out academic tasks through the school's technology network as well as attending a workshop on developing a technological database system and school administrators organized workshops to educate teachers by taking the example case law provisions and penalties arising from intellectual property infringement, jointly studied to raise awareness of the use of technology with regard to ethics and legality.
