Desirable characteristics of the school administrators Under the Office of the Secondary Educational Service Area Sisaket and Yasothon

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to study on Desirable Characteristics, compare opinion about Desirable Characteristics classify by position, work experience and education level. Including study about problems and guidelines for developing Desirable Characteristics of school administrators under the Office of the Secondary Educational Service Area Sisaket and Yasothon. The sample of this research consisted of 469 school administrators and teachers. The research instruments used for data collection followed by Linkert five-scale interval design and opened questions. The reliability of the questionnaire is 0.949. Statistics used in data analysis was percentage, mean, and standard deviation in comparison of differences between variables using statistical analysis T-test and F-test and double difference testing by Sheffe's method.

              The research findings were as follows: 1) Desirable characteristics of the school administrators and teachers under the Office of the Secondary Educational Service Area Sisaket and Yasothon. overall and each aspect was at a high level. The first one with the highest average value is the school administrators work in duties with Industrious, patient and indefatigable to obstacles and the school administrators are diligent, sacrifice and devote the time to government officials or job responsibilities. The one with the least average value is the school administrators behave as a good citizen such as Protect the country, obey the law and pay taxes and the school administrators assign tasks to colleagues to do appropriately with their knowledge, abilities and characteristics. 2) A comparison of the opinions of the school administrators and the teachers on the Desirable Characteristics of the school administrators under the Office of the Secondary Educational Service Area Sisaket and Yasothon classified by positions and work experiences differed significantly at the 0.01 level and the overall qualification were individually not different. 3) Problems and guidelines for developing Desirable Characteristics of school administrators under the Office of the Secondary Educational Service Area Sisaket and Yasothon. The problems are school administrators have an inappropriate personality, behaving and dress. They have the immoral behavior Interfere with intrigue, Inability to generate good incentives for colleagues, lack of support for colleagues to be committed in their work, lack of ability to seek and manage educational resources, lack of supervision, follow-up and systematically assess performance and lack of Good relationship with community and organization. The development approach is organized development training in various fields such as personality, moral, management guidelines and promote fair management, listen to colleagues' opinions. Manage work as a good friend and encourage school’s administrators to build good relationships with communities and organizations.
