Learning Art Activities from Bamboo Trees Based on the Concept of High- Scope to Develop Creativity Skills for Preschool Children

Abstract
The objectives of the research were to 1) study the creative art activities from bamboo trees based on high- scope concepts to develop creativity skills for early childhood students and 2) to compare creativity skills of early childhood students before and after using the high-scope method. The sampling obtained by simple random sampling consisted of 20 early childhood students, kindergarten 3, who were 5-6 years and were studying in the second semester of the academic year 2020, Ban Som Lao School, Phetchabun Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 in Phetchabun. The instruments of the study were 20 creative art activities plans, a handbook of 20 creative art activities, and the creative skills test. The study experimented on one group pretest-posttest design. The data were analyzed by using mean, variance, standard deviation, and tested the differences using percentages.
The results of the research were as follows:
1) Early childhood students who experienced creative art activities from bamboo under the concept of high-scope concepts for early childhood students. Early childhood students had creative skills in activities.
2) The results of comparing the creativity of early childhood students before and after the activities from bamboo trees based on high-scope concepts, found that the percentage of progress in the class was 33.54. This shows that creative art activities from bamboo trees in accordance with the high-scope concepts to develop creativity skills for early childhood students result in greater development of creativity, thoughtfulness, mind flexibility, and fluency, which is consistent with the assumptions set.
