Proposed Strategy for Developing Administration of Southern Vocational Institute Lao’s People Democratic Republic

Abstract
The purposes of this study were: 1) to study the current situation and find out the need to develop the Administration of Southern Vocational Institute Lao’s People Democratic Republic; 2) to create and develop strategies for Developing Administration of Southern Vocational Institute Lao’s People Democratic Republic; and 3) to evaluate the strategies for Developing Administration of Southern Vocational Institutes Lao’s People Democratic Republic
The sample included 21 administrators and 221 teachers, to tally 242 subjects, estimated by using Krejcie and Morgan’s table drawn by using disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling, using types of institutions as the sampling stratum. The research tools consisted of a rating-scale questionnaire with the reliability of .96 and a strategy evaluation form. The statistics included the percentage, mean, standard deviation and content and analysis. The results of the study were:
- The overall perspective on the current situation and the need to develop the Administration of Southern Vocational Institute Lao’s People Democratic Republic was in high level. The highest average score was obtained from the academic affairs administration others were human resource administration and general administration and students activity administration were in high level.
- Creating and developing strategies for Developing Administration of Southern Vocational Institute Lao’s People Democratic Republic were as follows: Strategy 1: Development of Buildings and Environment, Strategy 2: Develop information and technology systems for education, Strategy 3: Personnel development, Strategy 4: Develop an educational administration and management system of a cooperative; and Strategy 5: Develop learning management courses and develop skills to professional standards.
- The result of evaluation of the strategies showed that the suitability, possibility, and usefulness were in highest level.
