Development of Information Technology Proficiency for Seniles: Case study of Buengboon Manicipality, Buengboon District, Sisaket Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: 1) Investigate the context and the needs of information Technogy learning of the elderly in the elderly club in Buengboon Municipal District, Buengboon District, Sisaket Province. 2) Develop the information technology potential of the elderly in the elderly club in Buengboon Municipal District, Buengboon District, Sisaket Province. And 3) study the satisfaction of those elderly after the development of information technology proficiency. The sample selected by purposive sampling consisted of 150 elderly living in Buengboon Municipal District, Buengboon District, Sisaket Province. The instruments used in this research comprised information technology training course for the elderly, Information technology training activities for the elderly, an in-depth interview, information technology proficiency assessment and evaluation form, and satisfaction questionnaire. Then, the collected data were brought for analysis to find percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The research findings were as follows: 1) Elderly people in Buengboon Municipal District, Buengboon District, Sisaket Province. It is an elderly club with 946 members who still have a need to learn. And still want to have an opportunity to learn news that is useful for living and improving the quality of life. With the elderly, it is necessary to increase the potential of the elderly themselves in group management. Searching for knowledge in accordance with the changing situation in the modern world. 2) The elderly in Buengboon Municipal District, Buengboon District, Sisaket Province who passed the information training course were in the good information proficiency level, and 3) The elderly in Buengboon Municipal District, Buengboon District, Sisaket Province who passed the information technology training course were satisfied with the development of information technology proficiency. The entire satisfaction towards the arranged activities was in the high level.
