Need assessment of learning management in Physical Education Faculty core subject in Srinakharinwirot University

Abstract

Physical Education of the Faculty of Physical Education students. The population group was students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Srinakharinwirot University who were studying in the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Sports Science and Exercise and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Recreation Leadership programs and registered for core courses of the Faculty of Physical Education, Srinakharinwirot University in the academic year 2023, totaling 128 people. The research instrument was a needs assessment form for teaching the core subjects of the Faculty of Physical Education. of students of the Faculty of Physical Education Srinakharinwirot University. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, xˉ , standard deviation, and the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified) technique was used to rank the needs.

The research results found that the needs for teaching core courses of the Faculty of Physical Education of the Faculty of Physical Education students, ranked by importance using the PNImodified index, in terms of the content of the core courses, were necessary for solving problems. The content of the courses was appropriate and consistent with the needs of the students the most (PNI _modified = 0.16). In terms of measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes in core subjects, there is the highest necessity in solving the problem of reporting scores or learning results quickly and accurately (PNI _modified=0.16). In terms of learning support in core subjects, there is the highest necessity in solving the problem of wireless network services (PNI _modified=0.14). In terms of the quality of teachers in core subjects, there is the highest necessity in solving the problem of channels for students to contact teachers and consult easily (PNI _modified=0.13). In terms of the process of teaching core courses There is the highest necessity in solving the problem of teaching students to think, analyze and have the highest problem-solving skills (PNI _modified=0.01).
