The Adaptation of Digital in Online Multimedia for Promoting Gastronomy Tourism in Surat-Thani Province

Abstract

This research aims 1) to study the potential of Gastronomy tourism and information on local food in Surat-Thani Province. Used to create a digital multimedia online. 2) to study the satisfaction of Thai tourists. Connect online multimedia on local food in Surat-Thani Province and 3) to create online multimedia digital. In promoting local food tourism in Surat-Thani province. It is a mixed method research, quantitative and qualitative research. The data were collected by using a small group interview of 36 samples and a questionnaire from 400 samples. This research was analyzed using content analysis and Statistic for data analysis by percentage, mean, standard deviation.


              The research results were found that the potential for food tourism resources is characterized by the following characteristics: Southern food is unique in geographic areas such as seafood, oysters, and medicinal plants. There are a variety of spices such as turmeric, Stir-fried Malindjo Leaves, galangal, Stink bean, lemongrass, shallot, and southern foods are linked to traditions such as Chak-Phra Tradition, Thai Ghost Festival, In addition, food has a story connected with the environment, occupation and daily life.


              The results of an analysis of the level of your satisfaction with online multimedia digital media on local food in Surat-Thani Province. Tourists were very satisfied with the use of online multimedia in all aspects, including: Content and information accuracy, presentation style, information access, thought, feeling and the action side.


              Which information of online multimedia media in promoting local food tourism in Surat-Thani province that presented in the form of a video demonstration making various local menus that are popular in Surat-Thani Province, those interested must scan the QR Code in order to link to watch the video in the local food channel Surat-Thani Province It's a YouTube channel.
