The Knowledge and Understanding about the Behavior of Water use and Wastewater Management of People in The Municipality of Krathum Baen, Samut Sakhon Province

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study the knowledge and understanding about the behavior of water use and wastewater management of people in Krathum Baen Municipality, Samut Sakhon Province and to study the opinions on the behavior of water use and wastewater management of the people in the municipality of Krathum Baen, Samut Sakhon Province. This research used a questionnaire to collect data.
The samples in the research were heads or representatives of households residing in Krathum Baen municipality. Krathum Baen District Samut Sakhon Province, 376 samples. This research uses systematic random sampling based on communities in Krathum Baen municipality, Samut Sakhon Province. Statistics for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The results of the analysis of knowledge and understanding on the behavior of water use and wastewater management of the people found that most of the sample group had a moderate level of knowledge (58.4 percent), but only a few had knowledge at a high and low level. (41.1 percent, 0.5 percent, respectively). Moreover, the knowledgeable sample received an average score of 14.6 points, which is considered to be at a moderate level.
Regarding to the opinions on water usage behavior and correct wastewater management, most of the samples had positive opinions on water use behavior and wastewater management. The opinions on water use behavior and wastewater management were at a moderate level (72.0%). Only a minority had high and low opinions (24.0 percent and 4.0 percent) and their opinions on water use and wastewater management behaviors were averaged 0.85. Furthermore, the sample group had a moderate level of correct and appropriate opinions on the behavior of water use and wastewater management.
