Agricultural Water Management Strategies of Sub-district Administrative Orgranizations in Phitsanulok Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research was to study the strategic development for agricultural water management of Sub-district Administrative Organization in Phitsanulok Province. The methodology was as follows: 1) studying the states, the problems and the factors related with agricultural water management of Sub-district Administrative Organization in Phitsanulok Province, the research instruments were a questionnaire and focus group discussion. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, means, and standard deviation. 2) Developing and assessing the strategy, the research instruments wee document analysis, interview, workshop, connoisseurship and assessment form. The data were analyzed using content analysis, means and standard deviation. The results revealed that 1) the state of agricultural water management was found that majority of Sub-district Administrative Organization notified the importance of agricultural water management. There was the plan of agricultural water management. The plan was used to set the guideline of actual plan. The problem of agricultural water management was found that the amount of officers was insufficient. The structure of agricultural water management was not consistent with the area. The factor related with agricultural water management was found that governmental policy could support the operation of agricultural water management. 2) There were 11 strategies for agricultural water management. 3) The evaluation of the strategy was found that the agreement the appropriateness, the possibility and  the acceptance were at the high and the highest levels.
