Using Learning Package “The Smart Kids Smart Use” To Enhance Economics Literacy in Young Children

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the economics literacy in young children using the learning package "The Smart Kids Smart Use". The research tools are (1) the learning package "The Smart Kids Smart Use" to enhance the economics literacy in young children with 8 activities. (2) the assessment form of economics literacy in young children. The economics literacy in young children has 4 aspects as follows: Producers and consumers, Goods and services, Needs and Scarcity, Spending Plans. The results of research showed that young children using the learning package “The Smart Kids Smart Use” with 8 activities had a higher average score after trying out the learning package by the aspect with the highest average score of economics literacy after the experiment was Producers and Consumers, followed by Goods and Services, Needs and scarcity and Spending Plans, respectively.
