The usage Creative Drama for Developing Emotional Intelligence in Student with Learning Disability

Abstract

This research has the objective 1.) To study creative drama and bring it to organize a plan of creative drama activity experience to develop emotional intelligence, relationship of students with learning disabilities. 2) To conduct research along with monitoring and evaluation of research results, including research follow up and assessment. Target groups used in this study were 25 learning disability students studying in junior high school level at Porpanpittayakom Ratchamangkhalapisek school, academic year 2019. They were chosen by using Cluster Sampling. Obtained by a specific random method.  The selection was performed using a random sample for screening form for persons with learning disabilities Ministry of Education. Research instruments 1.) Creative drama learning management plan to develop emotional intelligence of students with learning disabilities junior high school level 2) Emotional Intelligence Scale Relationship of students with learning disabilities. This study is a type of research One-group Pretest-Posttest Design and Data analysis using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test statistic. The research results: 1. Creative Drama Knowledge Series is a type of drama that focuses on the learning process form experience and five senses; create a plan to organize a creative drama activity experience to develop emotional intelligence relationship in the students with learning disability totally 8 plans, each plan takes 50 minutes. 2. The usage Creative drama for Developing emotional intelligence relationship in student with learning disability of Junior high school level in Porpanpittayakom Ratchamangkhalapisek school. This research found that the creative drama process developed emotional intelligence relationship in students with learning disability Individually classified has an additional value. The results of comparing scores before the experiment had mean scores of 30.24 and standard deviation of 3.39 and after the experiment there was an average score of 55.88 and standard deviation of 7.06 the mean was significantly higher at the .01.
