An Estimation of Mathematical Operation Results on the System of Equation with Two Variables of Matthayom Sueksa Four Students
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this thesis, the researcher constructs 1) a scale for the mathematical operations on the system of equation with two variables of Matthayom Sueksa Four students; and estimates 2) the mathematical operation results on the system of equation with two variables of the students under study. The research population consisted of eighty students. The research instruments consisted of 1) a scale for basic mathematical knowledge; and 2) a scale for mathematical operations on the system of equation with two variables. The scale quality was analyzed using content validity, reliability, difficulty, and discriminatory power. Basic statistics used in research include frequency distribution, mean, percentage, standard deviation. Dispersion coefficient, maximum value, minimum value, skewness, and kurtosis. Findings are as follows 1) The quality of the scale for mathematical operations on the system of equation with two variables of Matthayom Sueksa Four students found, this is a subjective test with 5 questions and a score of 12 the following. (1) The content validity exhibited the index of item objective congruence (IOC) of 0.67-1.00. (2) The reliability was 0.75. (3) The difficulty was 0.30-0.75. (4) The discriminatory power was 0.36-0.80. 2) The estimation of mathematical operation results on the system of equation with two variables of the students under study found that the highest proportion of the students exhibited the results at a very low level.
