Legal Issues on Control of Kratom Plants

Abstract
The purpose of this research article is to study legal developments in controlling Kratom, properties, consumption characteristics. Including the results that will be obtained from consuming Kratom. Study and analyze the law regulatory agency foreign control measures to lead to the preparation of recommendations for controlling the use of Kratom plants that are appropriate in the context of Thailand. From the study of the Kratom Act 2022, it was found that measures have been established to control the consumption, distribution, import, export, as well as to control the illegal use of Kratom plants. Anyone who violates the law faces a maximum penalty of imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding 200,000 baht, or both. Which after the announcement Kratom Act 2022 found that there is a large amount of consumption and sale. While no secondary law has been enacted to control consumption, distribution and contamination of food. The Kratom Act 2022 is therefore not sufficient to control the use of Kratom in a proper and appropriate manner.
