THE STUDY OF ACHIVEMENT IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR QUALITY OF LIFE AND SOCIETY SUBJECT IN THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM BY USING 5- STEPS LEARNING PROCESS

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to study the learning achievement between before and after of learning science and technology for quality of life and society in the topic of environmental problems of the country, in the flipped classroom by using 5–steps learning the process and traditional learning; 2) to study attitude towards the flipped classroom by using 5–steps learning the process. The samples were 125 of the second year and the third year students in the academic year 2016 of Marketing major, Logistics and Supply Chain Management major and Finance major, at the Faculty of Business Administration at Dhurakij Pundit University, Bangkok, and 66 students of Automotive major at Roiet Technical  College, Roiet province as well as 63 students who have registered in  Environment Health major, at the Faculty of Science and Technology at Phanomwan College of Technology, Nakorn Ratchasima province. The sample was selected by a cluster sampling method, where the experimental and control groups. The instruments for this research were the lesson plan, the achievement test and attitude towards the flipped classroom by using 5–steps learning the process. The pretest-posttest control group design was used in this research. The data were analyzed using t-test independent of difference score. The learning outcome firstly indicated that the experiment group’s learning achievement was found that the difference of significantly statistical level of .01, and the second indicated that they really preferred the Flipped Classroom by using 5 – step Learning Process at the strongly agree Level, mean at 4.05 and standard deviation 0.75.
