CODE OF PRACTICE AND ITS INDICATORS FOR THE OFFICIAL STATISTICS QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN THAILAND

Abstract

This paper aims to describe Code of Practice and its indicators for the official statistics quality management in Thailand. This study, researchers have studied official statistics quality management from 5 international agencies, such as The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), European Statistical System (Eurostat), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Canada’s National Statistical Agency and The UK Statistics Authority. Factor analysis has been used to find the loading/weighting of each indicator. Findings of this study can be shown that Code of Practice for the official statistics quality management in Thailand should be composited by 9 principles. Moreover, there existing 47 indicators for all principles.
